SkySafari 6 Plus offers a comprehensive space simulator with telescope control and an Augmented Reality (AR) mode, distinguishing it from most basic astronomy apps.

Note that there is no discounted upgrade option from SkySafari 6 Plus to SkySafari 6 Pro, so choose wisely!

<li>Clouds and Astronomy: This update introduces the ability to back up all observing data in a secure cloud storage, enabling easy access across multiple devices and through the new web interface, LiveSky.com.</li>
<li>We Have The Best Stars: SkySafari has updated its star catalog to use the latest UCAC5 star catalog, delivering precise and modern star data.</li>
<li>Observers First: The redesigned tools in SkySafari 6 Plus prioritize the active observer, providing quick access to equipment, observing sites, lists, and observations. This ensures ease and enjoyment during observation sessions.</li>
<li>Graph It: The newly added graph tool offers a visual representation of an object's altitude above the horizon, crucial for planning nightly observations.</li>
<li>Plan It: SkySafari's updated planner is a powerful tool that allows users to create a list of targets for their observation session. With various filters like object types, specific time ranges, constellations, and catalogs, users can maximize their time under the stars.</li>
<li>Say It: A basic voice control feature has been incorporated into SkySafari 6, allowing users to give commands like "select Jupiter," "search for Titan," or "center on Polaris" to simplify operations.</li>
<li>Tilt It: In addition to the common ability to tilt and pan the device to explore different parts of the sky, SkySafari 6 Plus introduces a unique feature - "tilt to slew." This optional mode enables users to control their telescope by translating hand movements into smooth telescope motion using the accelerometers in the device, allowing observers to keep their eye on the eyepiece.</li>
